Savings Account
A savings account is the first account you’ll open when you join Kent Credit Union. A minimum deposit of $5 opens your savings account. Following this $5 deposit, you can take advantage of any and all other services provided by Kent Credit Union. Dividends are paid on balances over $100.
Christmas Club
Christmas Club Accounts allow you to deposit money throughout the year to prepare for holiday shopping. Make deposits by payroll deduction or deposit funds occasionally.
On the first business day of November each year, funds will automatically be transferred from your Christmas Club to your savings.
Vacation Club
Vacation Club Accounts allow you to deposit money throughout the year to prepare for vacation. Make deposits either by payroll deduction or deposit funds occasionally.
On the first business day of May each year, funds will automatically be transferred from your Vacation Club to your savings.
Money Maker Account
This savings account allows you to earn a higher dividend rate without locking your money in for a specific period of time. The minimum balance is $2500, and you can write checks on your Money Maker Account. Make up to six (6) withdrawals/transactions per month via teller, ART Phone Banking, or online with Virtual Branch.
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA)
Saving for retirement has never been easier! KCU offers a full range of IRA products, including Traditional and Roth IRAs. In addition, we offer both savings and certificates as investment options for your IRA funds. Payroll deduction to your IRA savings account enables you to save as little as $1.00 per pay for your retirement.
IRA certificates follow the same guidelines as IRA savings accounts only they are for a specific term. Similar to share certificates, IRA certificates offer dividends on terms from 12 months to 36 months, with a minimum deposit of $500.00.
